We use AI tools internally for research assistance (cross-checking stats, translating articles into Spanish, drafting outlines), but every published sentence goes through a human editor before it ships. The AI-generated draft pipeline mentioned in some of our internal docs is disabled — nothing on the live site is AI-authored.

A curated board of up to 10 high-confidence prop picks published twice daily on thecover.bet/tonight. First run publishes at 8:00 AM ET. A 4:00 PM ET refresh swaps out any picks where a player has since been ruled OUT for injury. The picks span every sport in season (MLB, NBA, NHL, NFL, WNBA, NCAAB, NCAAF) and are ranked best-first by DataStreak's scoring engine.

Hit rate is the share of a player's last 20 games (or their last N appearances, shown on the card as "sample size") where the player exceeded the current sportsbook line. A 15-of-20 hit rate for "over 5.5 hits allowed" means the player has come in over 5.5 hits allowed in 15 of their last 20 starts. Sample size and streak length are always shown alongside the percentage so you can see the denominator — 8 of 10 is not the same as 16 of 20.

A Stat Card shows a player's last-N-games stat line for a specific metric (e.g. Bobby Witt Jr.'s last 10 games of hits) as a bar chart, with an optional threshold line. Editorial only — no odds. A Bet Card adds live sportsbook prices to the same visualization: the player's recent hit rate against a specific line, current odds across every book we track, and a 24-hour line-movement sparkline. Bet Cards are for actionable prop research; Stat Cards are for storytelling inside an article.
